How to Break Walls in +1 Bite Per Click (Wall Requirements)

Walls in +1 Bite Per Click shatter when you bite them. Read a wall's number, upgrade Bite Strength, re-test, and see what loot waits behind cleared walls.

In +1 Bite Per Click, walls are the gates. Every barrier that cordons off an area breaks the same way: you bite it until it shatters. How long that takes comes down to one visible check — the number a wall displays versus your current Bite Strength. Here is how the breaking interaction works, how to tell a wall you cannot beat yet, and what you unlock on the other side.

How biting breaks a wall

Walk up to any blocking wall and click to bite it. Each bite lands damage equal to your current Bite Strength, and you keep biting until the wall shatters. When it breaks, loot items drop behind it — pick them up and carry them back to the sell point to turn them into Cash. That is the whole loop: bite, break, collect, sell.

Scale changes everything. Once your Bite Strength far exceeds the objects in an area, walls stop being an obstacle at all — recorded players run straight through them, with barriers popping in a single bite. Until you reach that point in a new area, every wall is a comparison between your bite power and its number, which is exactly what the next section helps you read.

Reading a wall's number

Blocking walls display a large number, and that number is the requirement. In one recorded first session, a player at bite power 1 walked up to a wall that read 31 trillion, called it out, and went back to biting cheap objects instead — the right instinct. Compare the displayed number with your Bite Strength and you can predict the outcome before committing time to it:

What you see at the barrierWhat it meansWhat to do
The number dwarfs your Bite StrengthThe wall breaks impractically slowly — one player abandoned a 1.5 million wall as something that would "take forever to break"Skip it, raise Bite Strength, return and re-test
It takes visible damage but crawlsBites do accumulate — an object was seen "breaking halfway" at bite power 1 — but the pace is not worth grindingBite only if it sits on your route; otherwise farm easier objects
The area is closed off entirely — "we can't go over there just yet"A level and rebirth gate, not a raw bite checkGain XP, rebirth, then come back
The wall pops in one or a few bites as you passYou out-scale itLoot what drops and keep moving

The exact math behind a wall's number is not documented — whether it is a hard gate or a damage pool you can slowly chew through, footage only shows underpowered walls breaking slowly and partially. In practice that does not block you: take a few bites, watch the progress, and judge the pace. Values also differ between worlds and shift with patches, so treat any specific figure — including the ones quoted here — as a historical snapshot. The number on your screen right now is the current requirement.

The fix: raise Bite Strength, then re-test

When a wall's number is out of reach, the documented pattern is skip, upgrade, return:

  1. Leave the wall alone. Recorded players route around anything that would take forever and farm the objects they can break instead — that loot becomes the Cash that funds the fix.

  2. Raise Bite Strength with the levers the game gives you:

    • Bite upgrades bought with Cash — the workhorse option; one session paid 1,335 Cash for roughly +1,500 bite early on, then 300,000 for +4,000.
    • Stronger teeth — higher teeth tiers bite harder; see the teeth upgrades page.
    • Rebirths — permanent multipliers; one player's first rebirth multiplied biting power by 1.5x and a later one by 3.5x.
    • Auras — smaller percentage boosts; a Red Flame Aura bought for 200,000 added 1.2% in one recording.

The full set of gain methods and how to prioritize them lives on the Bite Strength guide.

  3. Return and re-test. The payoff when a tier flips is dramatic: at 1.5 million Bite Strength, walls the same player had refused as hopeless broke "in just one bite."

  4. Repeat. Anything that still "takes forever" gets skipped again until your next upgrade round.

Timing can help too. One session hit a temporary "cold storm" event that granted double wall damage for 10 minutes, and walls were suddenly "breaking so fast." Events come and go, so you cannot plan around them — but if one is live, that is the moment to test a stubborn wall. Active promo codes can also shorten the grind between re-tests; the Codes page keeps the current list.

Letting Auto Play do the biting

You never have to click a wall manually. Toggle Auto Play and your character runs the stages on its own — breaking walls and picking up the loot boxes behind them without any input. One thing stalls that loop: a full bag. Carry Capacity upgrades matter here precisely because an auto-running character stops being useful when it cannot pick anything up, so sell regularly to keep it chewing.

What cleared walls unlock

Walls are how the game meters progression. The starter walls hold back the main area until you break them, and each wall deeper in guards progressively richer ground. Behind cleared walls, loot drops for pickup: recordings show early walls yielding Common junk like a Plastic Duck up to Epic finds such as Magic Shards and Diamond, while areas reachable only at very high Bite Strength held chests and high-value items like UFOs. Sell the haul for Cash — the selling loot page covers the hand-in — buy the next bite upgrade, and break the next wall.

These drops are session examples tied to depth, not a fixed reward table; none is documented. Expect the loot tier to climb with the walls you can break, and treat specific finds as what those players happened to get. The loot overview covers rarities in more detail.

The next time a wall stops you, the sequence never changes: read its number, compare it with your Bite Strength, then either bite through or upgrade and come back. When walls stop slowing you down at all, you have out-scaled the area — head deeper.
